Unfortunately, a sizeable proportion of repair companies lack the experience of a professional bodyshop and, if dent repairs lead to part of the panel needing refinishing, this is where things can start to go wrong. The mobile paint mixing schemes used by mobile companies lack the quality of those used in a bodyshop. It is sometimes possible for us to lift a dent out of the panel of a car without painting it at all. This is beneficial to customers who would prefer to pay for minor cosmetic work themselves so as not to lose a no-claims bonus were they to have the same work done through an insurance company.

An experienced panel beater will repair the panel using time-honoured techniques but with a modern range of tools, and our refinishers will paint the repaired panel in a low-bake oven using colours and clearcoats from our advanced mixing scheme.
Whereas some SMART repairers fade out with cheap thinners over part of the panel and then polish the edge back, we fade out the colour only and then apply a clearcoat to the rest of the panel for protection. This means you will never start seeing ugly fade-out marks on your car a few months down the line.
